We had a great time celebrating our behavior choices with Crazy Hair Day today! Keep up the great work Kuzio Kids!

Wednesdays during Word Study you'll find Kuzio Kids laying under desks writing their words like Michelangelo, trying to write their words with their opposite hands, and giggling a lot. We use a choice board to determine what activity each child participates in to practice his/her spelling words.

Day one of our artist in residence. Thea Alvin is an Amazon artist whose work can be seen all over Vermont. This morning Kuzio Kids had a chance to smash rocks in preparation for building our new Garden Arch! We loved it.

Each Friday students participate in a Journal writing experience in which they write home to their parents about their week. Please take a minute to read and respond to your child- they treasure your responses. We've been working on writing these in the woods. Students have chosen a "sit spot" that they will return to throughout the year and build a fort around or otherwise improve their space. We will use these spots as we observe how Vermont changes through the seasons in Social Studies as well as using them for our Engineering and Design components within Science.
